Our take on MEDGm
MEDGm, LLC is a telehealth brand whose site also lists sleep, sexual health and hair loss programs, all marked coming soon. Weight loss is the one program actually running. Each of its three compounded products has a plan picker with four terms. Semaglutide injections cost $299 month to month, $199 a month on three months, $189 on six and $169 on twelve. Tirzepatide injections cost $399, $299, $289 and $269. Semaglutide tablets, dissolved once a day, cost $369, $319, $289 and $239. A coupon takes $120 off the first month of the monthly plan, which is how a $299 plan becomes a $179 first charge.
Those monthly figures are not what you pay at checkout on the longer plans. The full term is billed on day one: $2,028 for a year of semaglutide and $3,228 for a year of tirzepatide. Plans renew automatically for another full term, and the terms let MEDGm bill and ship up to ten days before the renewal date. The headline on the GLP-1 page, "starting at $169," is the semaglutide price on the twelve-month prepay. If you want to pay as you go, $299 is the semaglutide number that matters.
MEDGm now lists brand-name options too: Zepbound and the Wegovy pill or pen for a $99 membership, and Ozempic for $171, each plus a medication cost the site does not publish, with availability "subject to change." Prescribing is done by clinicians from OpenLoop Health. The terms name four dispensing pharmacies with addresses, in Utah, Kentucky, New York and Alabama. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved, and MEDGm's own footer says so.
The terms say MEDGm serves all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., with the caveat that some services may not be available everywhere. Some states require a live video or phone visit before a prescription.
Signing up, paying and canceling
What MEDGm's own site shows a new patient.
- The intake takes about two minutes and is filled out before payment. An OpenLoop clinician then reviews it after you pay. If the clinician decides you do not qualify for medical reasons, MEDGm refunds the subscription charge.
- To cancel, email support or use the patient portal at least 72 hours before your next billing date. A late request means one more charge. Monthly members get no refund for the month they cancel in. Members on three-, six- or twelve-month bundles are refunded for any months in which no medication shipped.
- A full refund for a change of mind is possible only within the first 72 hours, and only if no services have been provided yet. Damaged or incorrect shipments are replaced by the pharmacy rather than refunded.
- Members get a patient portal with clinician messaging, dose and refill tracking, and a free book of about 100 high-protein recipes. Support is by phone or email, and the GLP-1 page lists labs as included.
