NovoCare Pharmacy review

NovoCare Pharmacy is how Novo Nordisk sells Wegovy and Ozempic straight to people paying cash. It is not a clinic and not a subscription. A prescriber, yours or one found through the telehealth links on the site, sends the prescription in, you get a confirmation text, pay by dose, and the medicine ships free to your home. If you would rather pick it up, you can take a savings offer to a local pharmacy instead. Behind the brand sit licensed partner pharmacies, including CoAssist, CenterWell and the BlinkRx network, which together are licensed to ship to all 50 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico.

The pill is the cheaper door. On Novo's own pricing, the Wegovy tablet costs $149 a month at the 1.5 mg starting dose, $199 at 4 mg, and $299 at both 9 mg and the 25 mg maintenance dose, with a month defined as one bottle of 30 tablets. The injectable pen costs more: patients new to NovoCare pay $199 for each of their first two monthly fills at the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg doses, an offer that runs through December 31, 2026. After that, every pen dose from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg is $349 a month, and the higher-strength Wegovy HD 7.2 mg pen is $399. A pen month means one box of four weekly pens.

The self-pay terms come with strings worth knowing. You agree not to submit the purchase to any insurer, including Medicare or Medicaid, and the cost will not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket limit. The offer cannot be stacked with another coupon or savings card, and Novo says it can change or end the program at any time. People with commercial insurance that covers Wegovy have a different route: a savings offer that can bring the copay to $25 a month, with up to $100 a month in savings, filled at a regular pharmacy. Novo also points eligible Medicare patients to a $50-a-month option.

Who it suits is plain enough. If you already have a doctor willing to prescribe Wegovy and you want the FDA-approved product at the lowest list price Novo publishes, NovoCare cuts out any middleman markup. If you want coaching, check-ins or someone to adjust your dose, you will need to bring that care with you.
