Ro review

Ro sells weight-loss care in two pieces, and its pricing page says so in large type: a membership, plus medication. The membership, called Ro Body, is $39 for the first month and refunded if you turn out not to be eligible. After that you choose a commitment level: $149 month to month, $99 a month prepaid every three months, $89 a month prepaid every six, or $74 a month prepaid for a year. The annual plan saves about $900 a year against monthly billing, but it means handing over roughly $888 up front.

Every drug on the menu is FDA-approved: the Wegovy pill, the Wegovy pen, the Foundayo pill, the Zepbound KwikPen and pen, and Ozempic. There is no compounded option. Ro says its cash prices match what Lilly and Novo charge through their own direct programs, and the dose-by-dose table on the pricing page bears that out. The Wegovy pill is $149 at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg and $299 at the top two strengths. The Wegovy pen is $199 for each of the first two months at the lowest doses (a limited-time offer), then $349, and $399 for the 7.2 mg high dose. Zepbound runs $299 at 2.5 mg, $399 at 5 mg and $449 from 7.5 mg up. Foundayo starts at $149 and tops out at $299, with promotional pricing on the middle doses through the end of 2026.

Ro offers a free insurance check for Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound autoinjector pens, with an insurance concierge to handle paperwork. A coverage check is not approval: your plan's conditions and the clinician's prescription determine which route is available. If coverage applies, the drug charge may be your copay; medication and membership remain separate expenses. Compare that covered prescription with the cash alternative before choosing a membership commitment.

Ro is most useful when insurance coordination is part of the decision. Its published cash medication rates match manufacturer programs, but membership adds to that bill. The $74 annual membership equivalent means a $888 prepaid commitment, compared with $149 paid monthly; it is not a flexible $74 monthly subscription. The starting Wegovy pen offer applies only to the first two months at the two lowest doses, with a sign-up deadline at the end of December. Higher-dose tirzepatide prices also rely on manufacturer offers. Compare the actual prescription and renewal terms rather than assuming the starting rate lasts.
